I’ve got that old time religion, old time religion
That is why I’m satisfied

You may ask me if I’m happy
If I have sweet peace within
If I worry about tomorrow
When I reach my journey’s end
I’m satisfied with my Jesus
And when He knocks, I’m gonna let Him in
He’ll go with me through the valley
And I know He is my friend

Satisfied, satisfied
No trouble can ever get me down
When my eyes are closed in death
With my Jesus I’ll be at rest
Then you’ll know I’m satisfied

If my friends they all forsake me
And they turn me from their door
If they sow no seeds of kindness
Make the thorns in my path grow
It won’t matter over yonder
When I reach the other side
I’m gonna sit down with my Jesus
And that is why I’ll be satisfied

I’ve got that old time religion, old time religion
That is why I’m satisfied

I have no fancy sermon, just a plain and simple song
That you can play in the key of A if you’d like to sing along
It’s all about the way things are
And not the way things might have been
You can be riding in the hurricane’s eye and still have peace within

I lived for my own pleasure, I was the leader of the blind
A passenger on the road to fame, I was a legend in my mind
But when the truth came to me, I sadly did confess
Just a pile of rags before God’s eyes in my righteousness

Elijah was a man just like you
Sometimes happy, sometimes blue
It was a little bitty vision but he somehow knew
If he waited on the Lord
He would surely come through

Well, I nearly searched this whole world over
Just to find a place to rest
Where I could be myself and do all of the things that I do best
Like a black sheep wandering or a rebel in retreat
I never found contentment, children, till I fell at the Shepherd’s feet

God would surely come through
I said, he would surely come through

She could not believe He would come to her city
Come to a Samarian well
But He offered and got her to drink living water
Now she’s got a story to tell

To make a way He went out of His way
Came to me, left Heaven one day
He took the journey alone, left the Father at home
To make a way He went out of His way

He left the splendor of all for sinners
For sinners He laid up His crown
He traded His glory to bring us the story
To Calvary Heaven came down

He left the splendor of all for sinners
He traded His glory to bring us the story

For sinners He laid up His crown

For eighty years life’s been full of happiness
But again her body’s overcome with pain
But in this place of struggle she’s still a witness
And her sweet song of victory remains

It’s all right here
It’s all right here
I will sing alleluia, Jesus is near
It’s all right here

My Father holds the hope, the peace, the power
And in His hands it evermore shall be
And when He saved my soul that very hour
Everything He had was placed in me

It’s all right here
It’s all right here
I will sing alleluia, Jesus is near
It’s all right here

I will sing alleluia, Jesus is near
And it’s all right here
My Father holds the hope, the peace, the power
And everything He has it all right here

The holy hills of Heaven call me
To mansions bright across the sea
Where loved ones wait and crowns are given
When the hills of home start calling me

This house of clay is but a prison
Bars of bone hold my soul
But the doors of clay are gonna burst wide open
When teh angel sets my spirit free
I’ll take my flight like a mighty eagle
When the hills of home start calling me

I see loved ones over yonder
Tears are gone and hearts are free
And from the throne of my Savior beckons
And the hills of home are calling me

I’ve got the love, sweet love of the Lord
I’ve got everything in life that’s worth looking for
Who could ask for anything more
I’ve got the love, sweet love of the Lord
Counting the blessings I have in my life
There’s so much to be thankful for
Daily I walk in a wonderful light
I live in a beautiful world

Searching for answers, looking for love
Lost in the shadows below
Lifting my eyes to the Father above
I found the sweet love that I know

As I journey through this vale of sorrow
The way seems so strange and unknown
Lord, I need a helping hand to borrow
For I cannot find the way alone

I cannot find the way without You
Dear Lord, look down from Thy throne
And make Thy light to shine around me
For I cannot find the way alone

When the raging storms of life confound me
Dear Lord, wilt Thou keep me Thine own?
Let me feel Thy precious arms around me
For I cannot find the way alone

And make Thy light to shine around me
For I cannot find the way alone

All praise rising
All rejoicing
Every hour rise to Thee

All the beauty
All the glory
All thanksgiving give to Thee

All the music
All the singing
All the longing rise to Thee

In the sorrow
And the laughter
All praise rising, rise to Thee

It will rise, it will rise
It will rise, will rise to Thee
It will rise, it will rise
Will rise, will rise to Thee

If there be any peace, any love
If there is any joy
Then let it rise

If there be any good, any just
If there is any grace
Then let it rise

If there be any breath, any sound
If there is any life
Then let it rise, let it rise

I was standing by the bedside of a neighbor
Who was bound to cross Jordan’s swelling tide
And I asked him if he woudl do me a favor
And kindly take this message to the other side

If you see my Savior tell Him that you saw me
Ah, and when you saw me I was on my way
When you reach that golden city think about me
And don’t forget to tell the Savior what I said

Though you have to make this journey on without me
Oh, that’s a debt that sooner or later must be paid
Well, you may see some old friends who may ask about me
Oh, tell them I am coming home someday

Sweet communion with You, Father
Worshipping Your holiness
May I know You in Your fullness
Let Your Spirit on me rest

Reaching out for You, my Father
Draw me nearer to Thy breast
Sweet communion with You, Father
Worshipping Your holiness

Lord, Your Spirit satisifes me
My deepest longing’s filled
Your anointing gives me power
Every time I yield

As we fellowship together
I learn to lvoe You more
Every moment in Your presence
Is precious to me, Lord
